1. Why choose Isotex?
ISOTEX panels are more than just a surface finishing: you will also get acoustic insulation (-22 dB), heat insulation (keeps the interior temperature stable, does not matter whether it is warm or cool) and natural product (allergy free) that is easy to install (see the installation manual in product package).
2. Are the panels washable?
Yes, all the wall panels with paper finish are washable. Wall panels with a textile finish need regular cleaning with a vacuum cleaner. Ceiling panels are not washable, but all the panels in our product range are paintable (use water-based paint only).
3. How to install the panels?
Installation method depends on the material your wall or ceiling is currently covered with. If the walls are papered and they are straight, you can use adhesive (Soudal 48A). If your wall or ceiling needs to be straightened with a wooden frame first, it is more convenient to use a stapler. See Installation.
4. Do all the ceiling panels have tongue and groove joints in every edge of the board?
No, only ceiling panels that have the same measurements as Quatro panels (1800 mm) have this kind of fixing system. Longer ceiling panels only have tongue and groove joints on their sides (not in the ends of panels).
5. Can I use Isotex panels in bathroom?
No. Isotex panels are designed to be used only in dry rooms.
However, it is allowed to use the panels in accommodations that are not heated throughout the year, e.g. summerhouses.
6. Do Isotex panels let the wall breathe?
Yes. Isotex panels consist only of natural materials that guarantee natural ventilation of the building.
7. Can I install the wall panels into the ceiling?
Yes, but in this case you will have to use a stronger adhesive and longer staples.
8. Can I install the ceiling panels on the wall?
Yes, but it should be noted that the covering material of ceiling boards is more delicate than that of wall panels (due to the layer of foil under the paper finish). You should also keep in mind that the ceiling panels are not washable.
9. What should I do when I wish to have wall panels with a textile finish, but I am intimidated by the fact that I need to clean/wash them frequently?
Panels with a textile finish can be varnished (with a water-based varnish).
10. Can I cover Isotex panels with wallpaper?
Yes. When using stronger wallpaper, you do not even need to fill the gaps between the boards. It is enough to use stronger adhesive (this helps to stiffen the underlay of the wallpaper). In the case of thinner wallpapers (or if you still hesitate), fill the gaps between the panels with fine filler before covering the panels with wallpaper.
